Liberty store in Westfield’s: As if we needed more reason to visit

Iconic department store, Liberty, is taking its infamous prints down to Westfield Stratford this summer and opening its first satellite store. The “Brilliantly British” themed store is influenced by Liberty Regents Street store and classic Liberty prints. The world renowned Visual Identity team “further enhanced the aesthetics of the space using the vintage display pieces, whimsical curiosities and quirky objects that Liberty is so well known for”. Inside you will find “classic Liberty florals on everything from umbrellas to sunglasses, stationary to kitchen items, shirts, scarves and ties. The store will also stock some of their 2012 collaboration highlights from footwear brand Dr Martens, heritage clothing brand Barbour and international sportswear brand Nike.” The store also houses products, including cushions, mugs and phone cases, created in partnership with Time Out London using exclusive prints taken from archive covers. The British heritage theme is only heightened by the two Queen’s guards, in full regalia, who stand at the entrance of the store and the retro print photo booth,  that has been hand painted to resemble a British seaside attraction, at the disposal of visitors, promoting their “I love Liberty” campaign.
