Stop-smoking naturally

Some people love smoking. In fact despite the health risk some see it as a luxury, an pleasurable habit. Smoking, ‘back in the day’ was however only supposed to be for the rich and famous, which as a result became a glamorous habit to have amongst the rich, and was desired amongst the poor.

Although smoking can relieve stress, keep you calm and reduce the urge to eat, this habit is linked to so many health problems. You can eat five portions of fruit or veg a day and exercise regularly – but healthy behaviour means little if you continue to smoke. The message that ‘smoking is bad for you’ is an old one, so not everyone gives it their full attention.

Why quit smoking?

Most people know that smoking can cause lung cancer, but it can also cause many other cancers and illnesses. Smoking directly causes over 100,000 deaths in the UK each year and contributes too many more. Of these deaths, about 42,800 are from smoking-related cancers, 30,600 from cardiovascular disease and 29,100 die slowly from emphysema and other chronic lung diseases. Enough to make you quit yet? Smoking can also cause infertility, worsen asthma, give you bad breath and develop mouth ulcers which can then lead you to lose teeth!

How to quit

So, you have tried to quit before using tablets or smoke free cigarettes and it hasn’t worked? This could be because it is all psychological and there for the best option for you would be one of the natural ways! Although you can get smoke free kits through the NHS, they often don’t work as the mind is either not ready to quit, or associates smoking with a certain emotion or social experiences.

Stop-Smoking Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a natural and powerful therapy that is able to create effective change for resolving a variety of problems such as phobias, panic attacks, obsessive behaviour, trauma, emotional concerns, certain allergies, skin problems, lack of motivation, smoking and weight control.

Hypnotherapy involves teaching you how to access a state of calm where you remain totally in control, yet you are still able to dip into a subconscious world of complete physical and emotional relaxation.

During a hypnotherapy session positive suggestions, which can be agreed beforehand, are given. These work on the subconscious mind and help steer towards a chosen solution by creating inner motivation to affect a change. The subconscious mind also controls much of the body’s functioning and welfare, therefore it is possible to “re-programme” body systems back towards good health.

To be honest the natural way is usually the best way and if you’re trying to quit smoking but have not yet succeeded what have you got to lose?
